Beale Street Landing in Memphis seeks to transform the banks of the Mississippi River into a new public space, located at a neuralgic point of the city, where the central park, the historic reserve of the Cobblestones, the emblematic Beale Street and the river itself converge. The main premise was to have the river as the protagonist, through a topographic solution that connects these different elements, extending the park towards the Cobblestones and passing over the port terminal, whose central core clad with a pixelated image of the water becomes an urban icon. A system of floating docks links the terminal to the passenger ships, while the terraced waterfront park, which interacts with the fluctuations of the river, allows for two very different experiences depending on whether the river is rising or falling.
